Welcome to First Baptist Athletics - Basketball, Spring 2024
The First Baptist Athletics Basketball program is designed for players of all skill levels. Our goal is to teach the game of basketball in an environment that emphasizes fun and competition without sacrificing good sportsmanship and respect for others.
All practices and games will be held at the gymnasium at First Baptist Athletics at 8600 N. College Ave, Indianapolis, IN. Please enter the gym through either Door 2 or 3 from the parking lot.
Age Divisions
Basketball divisions are offered for both boys and girls from ages 4 to 10 based on the participant's age as of January 1st.
*Please note that 6 year-old practices may be held at 4 PM if we have significant numbers registered for our Spring Session.

Practices and Games
All divisions will have one practice per week and a Saturday game or Sunday game. This will be a 5 game season with all games are Saturdays or Sundays. There are some exceptions: the 4 year-old division and 5 year old division are structured into 20 minute fundamentals (dribbling, shooting, passing) practices followed by a game in which the coaches are heavily involved.
7-9 Girls will play Saturday mornings
7-8 Boys will play Saturday late morning/early afternoon
9-10 Boys will play Saturday afternoons
4, 5 and 6 coed will be Sunday afternoons into early evenings

Cost
The cost per participant for the season is $80 for all divisions.
Equipment / Supplies
Participants should bring a water bottle and wear tennis shoes, socks, shorts (or sweatpants), and t-shirts to practices and games. First Baptist Athletics will provide a game jersey. Kneepads are not required. Please DO NOT bring your own basketball to the FBA gym. We want to prevent loose basketballs that interrupt other practices/games and lost basketballs. FBA will supply basketballs. Basketball sizes and goal heights by division appear below:
