Dear Friends: First Baptist Athletics is 40 years old this year! We are having a year long party to commemorate and celebrate this unique achievement. We plan to honor the past and cast our vision to the future with activities and events throughout the year. If you haven't been in the program for awhile, we invite you and your children (or your grandchildren) to consider being a part of this great occasion. How did FBA affect your family? Did this program have a positive impact on your child's development and growth - in sports and in life? Would you care to share that story or some part of it with us and with others? Tens of thousands of kids and several generations have found FBA to be The Place for Good Sports. There have been lots of smiling faces, a lot of laughter, a lot of running and playing on the fields and in the gym at First Baptist. FBA kids learned many lessons, about sports, about life, and about themselves. There have been so many coaches and assistant coaches - thousands of them - some of the leaders in this community, some of the leaders in Indianapolis who have shared their knowledge, their passion and their gifts with these kids, and in so doing have had such a powerful impact on this community. We are so thankful, as a program and as a church, for the blessing of touching so many lives, of being a ministry in such a direct and loving way. We invite you to be a part of the events of this year and we invite you to be a part of the FBA40 Endowment Campaign. Our goal in this Endowment Campaign will be to raise the necessary funds to help ensure that future generations of families will be able to participate and enjoy the unique atmosphere of First Baptist Athletics. Listed below is the schedule of events culminating with a Worship Service in September. Brad Stevens, Butler Basketball coach, will be the featured speaker. We invite all FBA families to join us on that day and we invite the kids and coaches to wear their uniforms.
